Abstract:
The viscosity Tables presented here can be used to determine the viscosity of pure sucrose solutions within the dissolved solids concentration range of (20 to 86) g/100 g at temperatures in the range of (0 to 80) °C. The precision which is expected with different types of viscometers depends to some extent on the nature of the test fluid. The American Standard (NBS C440) value for relative repeatability, RSDr, between duplicate measurements by the same operator using a Brookfield rotating cylinder viscometer is 9% of the measured value. For the same viscometer, the relative reproducibility, RSDR, of measurements achieved in inter-laboratory evaluations is between 10% and 25% of the measured value.
