We are pleased to announce that the 34th ICUMSA Session will be held in Delhi, India from 3rd to 5th March 2025. Together with the Indian National ICUMSA Committee the Officers of ICUMSA are preparing an interesting and memorable program. The technical sessions will take place on 3rd and 4th March 2025. A factory visit is planned for 5th March 2025. Planning of some post-Session excursions is in progress; the intention is that they will be offered for those who are interested and would like to spend some extra time after the Session to enjoy India.
More details about the program and the registration will appear on the ICUMSA website within the next few weeks. We hope to see many of you in person at this event.
Referees’ reports for the forthcoming Session
In line with the protocols adopted at previous ICUMSA Sessions all Referees’ reports need to be submitted to the General Secretary two months before the Session begins. Therefore, the deadline for receiving reports and related recommended Method drafts for the 34th Session is 3rd January 2025. Please take note of this because it is less than a year from now that reports must be submitted.
Proceedings 33rd Session and Methods Book Supplement 2024
Both the Proceedings of the 33rd Session in Vienna and the Methods Book Supplement 2024 are close to publication. They are expected to be published in the next few months. The ICUMSA members will be notified once they will be available for purchase in the Bartens webshop.
Vacancy GS2 and S2 Referee
Carol Wambolt (USA) has decided to step down as Referee for GS2 White Sugar. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Carol for her contributions to ICUMSA in this area. Her resignation from this position means that we need to find a successor for her as GS2 Referee. In addition to this, we still have a vacancy for a Referee for Subject 2 – Method Format, Collaborative Testing and Statistical Treatment of Data. Persons who are interested in one of these positions or who have a suggestion for a candidate are cordially invited to contact one of the ICUMSA Officers for more information.
