Method GS2/3-47 (2015)

The Determination of Yeasts and Moulds in Refined Sugar Products by the Pour Plate Method or the Membrane Filter Method - Official 

 

1 Scope and Field of Application

This method is used for the enumeration of yeasts and moulds in refined sugar products (General Subjects2 and 3) [1,2,3,4]. With higher colony counts and/or for dark-coloured products use the pour plate method. With low levels of microorganisms use the membrane filter method.

NOTEThe pour plate method for mesophilic bacteria and the membrane filter method for mesophilic bacteria is given in Method GS2/3-41.
