1 Scope and Field of Application

This method is applicable to beet molasses samples. It is derived from both Method GS7-23 (new Method GS7/4/8-23) “The Determination of Sucrose, Glucose and Fructose in Cane Molasses by HPLC” which now has Official status [1,2] and is also applicable to beet molasses and Method GS4/8-21 “The Determination of Betaine in Beet Molasses by a High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method” which also has an Official status.
